Mrs. Shirley Muenter
Mrs. Muenter – Some of you may know her, while others may only know of her. She moved to Hoyleton nearly 40 years ago when she married her life partner, Mike Muenter. Mike was a lifelong member of this community; sadly, he was called home by God in March of this year. This heartbreaking loss has left a void that she could never have imagined. She believes that God saw her struggle and paved a way for her to serve this community while healing from the pain of losing her beloved husband. Her greatest passion, aside from being a wife, mother, and grandmother, has always been cooking and serving others. Even before graduating from high school, she began working in the food industry and has done so most of her life.
Throughout her life’s journey, She’s worked for, owned, and managed various restaurants, including Hoyleton’s Yellow Rose, formerly known as the Dairy Wagon, and “Lighthouse Grill” in Carlyle. Most recently, she was the GM at Bob Evan’s in Fairview Heights for the last 8 years. She enjoys meeting and working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She takes pride in being referred to as honest, hardworking, loyal, and someone with great work ethic by former employers & employees. She’s thrilled to share a glimpse of who she is. She looks forward to serving the family of Trinity as our new “Cook”.
